David Heinemann and Elvina Nevardauskaite co-founded Broken Island Films as a vehicle for the creation of documentary and fiction films providing an alternative point of view on contemporary issues. Remember, thou art clay was their first short film together. It has played at the London Short Film Festival, Tampere and DocAviv as well as a number of other festivals. Elvina and David have since directed a half-hour drama, Unburied, which will have its international premiere in 2019. At the moment they are working on a short experimental documentary about voice hearers, Voices Apart, which was pitched at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival.
