The sea is heard at night

Synopsis:
On the Baltic coast of Lithuania, in a fading Soviet-era holiday camp, hundreds of children aged 7 to 18 arrive every summer to spend ten days by the sea. The camp offers little in material comfort, yet it creates a rare space for emotional growth. As friendships form and dissolve and insecurities surface, identity is shaped through shared time, proximity and vulnerability. Each gesture becomes a small negotiation of belonging. Around them, camp workers quietly maintain the old buildings and grounds, holding this delicate world together. The sea is heard at night is a meditation on growing up and the fragile beauty of being together before everything changes.
