VOICES APART

The documentary film features interviews with three voice hearers who relate important moments in the onset and development of their psychosis. They remain nameless and unseen throughout; only their voices will permit the viewer to distinguish one from the other. Each contributor in turn describes their experiences: painful, touching, frightening. The camera explores mysterious empty spaces that we associate in some way with what the voices relate: the bohemian interior of an artist’s house; an abandoned, dilapidated school; the vast and mysterious outdoor spaces of a mountainous landscape.
